22 of Some of the Best Moments of 2022
We look back on an incredible year.
Join us as we celebrate (some of) the BEST moments of 2022!
A new place to call home—and a serene space for the family portraits they dreamed of! This family of 5’s portraits are some of our favorites!
Lights, action, and GLAMOUR! This high school senior was unforgettable—and we made sure her portraits were just like her!
This winter engagement session had all the cuddle-me vibes. Plus, we really loved how much the groom-to-be shined! If there was ever an artists’ album in his future, he was ready for it!
P.S. You’ll find their wedding at the historic Ainsworth House featured just below.
This family is one we had been so happily anticipating for many months—mom and dad having both been in the studio with us before—and it did not disappoint!
This high school senior is a talent behind the Marist High School yearbook—and part of a beautiful family too! We captured her in multiple elements, alongside her family (including all the fur family members too—both a gentle dog [pictured here] and 2 adorable cats). Their Wall Display (a tryptich [set of 3]) is among our favorites for the year!
A rainy day maternity session created magazine-worthy images! You may recognize this couple, who were featured over the years in an engagement session and later a wedding at the Water Oasis, and who welcomed their precious girl shortly after these portraits were taken in the greater Portland area.
This multi-generational session featured 3 strong and beautiful women! This was our first time at this—now favorite—location, and we are sure to return again!
Senior portraits that feel straight out of the cinema! We love how this Sheldon High School senior trusted us with crafting such unique looks—and adore them all!
From the details to the laughter, from the dancing to the birding (yes, that IS a term for the bird-watching fans), this Mt. Pisgah Arboretum wedding was a delight to capture! Eugene, being the bride’s hometown, showed off at this summer wedding with sparkling skies and refreshing nights.
A newborn, a big brother, and two devoted parents make for a special show of unity. These family portraits took place just after the day’s rain cleared, and we were met with one of Eugene’s most showy sunsets yet.
It was her turn! After celebrating her two older brother’s senior portrait sessions with us, she had been dreaming of her own! This special high school senior got to show off: her love of reading, her incredible dance talent (grown at Hosanna Dance Studio), and the sweet bonds she shares with her family (fur member included)!
This out-of-state couple wanted an out-of-the-ordinary experience: a coastal wedding at Hallmark Resort in Newport, Oregon. Though their original wedding date was set for 2020, 2022 ended up being their perfect year.
This family was one of our favorites! The connection they shared was so tender and kind, and their little girl surprised us with a beyond-her-years intelligence we will likely never forget! Plus, the white blooms on this hiking trail in Eugene created such a delightful charm for these sweet family portraits.
This year-in-review wouldn’t be complete without a mention of the scenic moments featured on our Art page. This image, Venice by Night showcases one of the first international features among Heather Mills’ scenic art.
Senior season was in full swing when we connected with this gorgeous South Eugene High School senior’s family—and we are so glad the stars seemed to align! Her downtown Eugene and garden vibes are all spectacular!
We had around 30 business professionals in for branding portraits this year: from authors to real estate agents, from health care providers to financial advisors, from attorneys to CEOs, and more! Here are just a few of the many remarkable professionals we had the honor of working with in 2022.
Some years ago, this beautiful mama had her own professional portraits created with us—and we were thrilled she came back… this time with her family!
After some day-time scenes both downtown and along the river path, we decided to turn up the cinematic style and create these dynamic after-dark “techie” portraits for this computer genius high school senior.
With an appreciation for finer, historic things, this couple chose the Ainsworth House for their wedding day venue. The unforgettable black and white dress and nods to their family’s traditions topped our list of favorite things in 2022!
This was another returning beauty—who, although was solo for her last session, brought her handsome boys/men and adorable daughter with her this time! This urban family session with red and blue combinations make us smile!
This star senior left a mark at his alma matter, Churchill High School. Before graduating in the spring, we spent the afternoon celebrating his facets: both on the football field and off.
As always, we created a boudoir Best of 2022 post in our private group; ladies, request to join! We’ll sum up the year with this image—it was a bold year indeed!
