How do you prepare for a boudoir session?
By getting on a weight loss plan? Scheduling a Brazilian wax? Getting a tan?
We’ll answer those questions and more below. Read our 4 simple tips to prepare for your boudoir session.
1. Select outfits that are form-fitting. At your consultation, we’ll look at options from our client wardrobe, and make specific recommendations for you: a specific color, a certain style, or even something a bit out of the ordinary. Our go-tos: bodysuits (also called teddies) and bodystockings. Look for texture and architectural details such as banding at the waist or cage bra tops to create a look that stands out. 2. There are two appointments we suggest: one with your mani/pedi artist and one with your hair colorist (simply, to take care of roots). For your nails, freshen up those cuticles and pick a polish that is either neutral (such as french tips or a soft pink) or timeless (such as fire engine red). Tempted to tan? Don’t! We assure you it will cause more orange tones in your skin than desired.
3. Prep the night before your session. This includes exfoliating your face and lips and washing and drying your hair. Simple as that. (Easy for you—our hair and makeup stylist will take care of the rest.) For personal grooming, all styles are welcome—but, there is no need to get a Brazilian wax for your session! A simple bikini line and butt crack shave will do the trick.
4. Choose to proceed with confidence. Girl, we know how vulnerable a boudoir session is. And we get that you’ll be nervous. After all, you may be thinking to yourself, “I don’t have the kind of body for this,” “I will never look as good as those other women do,” or “Heather Mills will not know what to do with all these lumps and wrinkles.” But we can assure you that you DO have the body for this, you WILL look good, and Heather Mills knows EXACTLY how to pose and coach you—no matter your size or age. Let go of your fear and let us guide you so you can see your beauty. After all, what is there to lose? (And no, the answer is NOT weight—you’re beautiful just the way you are.)
